Q: What do families need to do to participate in evaluations?

A: Players must all register online before being evaluated.

Q: Are evaluations mandatory?

A: Yes, for all players except tee ball. Our coaches must evaluate players for proper team placement.

Q: What day, and what time, will my player be evaluated?

A: Players will be evaluated by age group. The exact schedule will be updated in January:

Saturday February 12th:
    • Come back soon for the daily schedule
Sunday February 13th
    • Come back soon for the daily schedule

Q: Where are evaluations being held?

A: Evaluation location is TBD. Come back soon for more info.

Q: What should my player wear to their evaluation?

A: Players should wear baseball attire/athletic clothing. Baseball hats are recommended. Players should wear running / athletic shoes, but no cleats, as we’ll be on turf.

Q: Will evaluations be indoors, or outdoors?

A: Evaluations will take place outside, rain or shine. Players should dress weather appropriately.

Q: Do tee-ball players need to be evaluated?

A: No, however, families who wish to have their 6-year-old(s) evaluated for a Rookies team are welcome to be evaluated. Evaluations do not guarantee a position on a Rookie team. Tee ballers who are evaluated, but not placed on a Rookie team, can still play tee ball.

Q: What precautions are being taken to protect families from COVID-19?

A: The Willamette Valley Babe Ruth league, including NEBR, is required to follow city and state social distancing and sanitation requirements. These currently include:

    1. Players must wear masks throughout the entire event, as 100% social distancing will not be possible.
    2. Additional requirements will be added as needed, based on city & state guidelines on February 12th & 13th

Q: When will we know what team our player(s) will be playing for?

A: Initial teams will be announced the week following evaluations, possibly the week after, depending on coach assignments.

Q: When do we pay our player(s) fees?

A: Once players are placed on a team, invoices will be emailed to parents. All fees must be paid within 1 week of being assigned to a team/rostered.
